Zardari restores judges in Pakistan

The removal of the Chief Justice and other judicial officers by ex-President General Pervez Musharraf was generally condemned as an undemocratic move. The restoration of the democratic government in the country it was logical for the lawyers and the general public to demand the restoration of the deposed judges and fulfill the regulations of a democratic administration. This decision has also come in the right time since it will defuse the threat of a looming country wide chaos that may have left the country at the mercy of anarchy. The restoration of the judges has also sparked the hope of more democratic measures on behalf of the government regarding the issues if the distribution of political power and the freedom of media.

Afghanistan and situation in Pakistan

Mr. Eftekhar Hussain Chaudhry the former chief justice of supreme court of Pakistan was dismissed from his position by Musharaf. He together with Nawaz sharif brought a crisis situation in Pakistan in the last few days and campaigned for Eftekhar hussain Chaudhry to resume back his post and they said that if it is not accepted by government then they will bring the worst situation in Pakistan, but in the morning 16th March, 09 the prime minister of Pakistan Yousaf Raza Gilani announced that Eftekhar Hussain Chaudhry would resume his post back by 21st march, 09 and his this decision can make the situation better in Pakistan.

Sri Lanka, LTTE War and the refugees

I personally do not like the offer of help made by the Indian and the American government to Sri Lanka for the evacuation of refugees from the north. The Indian Government is once again dabbling with dirty politics since its election time and an opportunity to cash on the Tamil vote bank in the region. Sri Lanka has come afar in terms of tackling with the Tamil menace. We have both the courage and the spirit to take it ahead form here too. The only one way in which Indian can actually help is to keep Tamil Nadu apart from this, stop providing material help in terms of weapons and prove this to the world that India is with the Sri Lankan government. We are proud of our countrys strong leadership that has been successful in routing the Tamil cancer successfully.

Lebanon opens embassy in Syria

Lebanese officials have announced that Lebanese embassy was opened in Damascus on Sunday for the first time despite all the difficulties those two countries have shared over the years. Syria had for a long time been involved in the politics of Lebanon but that ended by the withdrawal of the Lebanese forces after the anti Syrian Lebanese parties requested such an action an attitude triggered but the assassination of the former Prime Minister Rafiq Hariri which was blamed on the Syrian government by some parties yet not proved till this day. However Syrian President is working on a new start of diplomatic relations with Lebanon.
