Radhastami celebration at Varsana turns into almost a week-long festival. One of these days Varsana people run from door to door through all the village with young boys on top of their shoulders. Dressed as Krishna and Radharani with her girlfriends, these young boys taste yogurt and sweets at each house. This tradition comes from pastime at Sankari Khor place, when Krishna stopped Radharani and girls with pots of yogurt asking them to pay taxes.
This is a great presentation of a cultural and religious tradition. I love it! You have shown various aspects very well. Jai Jai Sri Radhee! Oh I love Indian sweets. This is really neat to see this! I am going to India in the fall and look forward to seeing things like this that have special meaning to them, especially honoring Sri Radha Krishna.
