Big fan of L&H. I was thinking, wouldn't it be great if you were around in those times and working on the Hal Roach lot. You would walk on the set, pick out a quiet corner, pull up an old wood folding chair (Hal Roach Studios labeled on the back) and sit and watch this masterpiece being performed. Nuff said!

@GoldenEagle009 You might like to know that there is an excellent book, by AJ Marriot, that chronicles both tours, of the UK, made by Stan and Ollie, when they came to play the Moss Empires circuit in the 1950's (you young people will not know what the old variety theaters were all about) Anyway, there you have it for what it is worth. I am 70 years of age and a total dedicated fan of these two wonderful loving guys,I saw them live, at the Brighton Hippodrome, somewhere around 1954.

@GoldenEagle009 I am delighted to see your comments and it is wonderful to find somebody of your age who is a fan of Laurel and Hardy. Do you know that, when they were more or less finished in the movies, Bernard Delfont, in the 1950's, invited them to come to Great Britain and do a tour of the Moss Empires variety theaters. They actually came twice and, on one visit, although they were ageing and Ollie had developed a taste for the booze, they appeared in the Royal Variety Show.

excellent ! thanks for this one !
i'm 17 and was brought up to watch this with my grandparents. Greatest comedians of all time. It's a shame that the younger generation doesn't seem to appreciate the truly greats of comedy.
