Tradition is revisited by two representatives of the Fulani culture: singer Abou Thiam and guitarist and hoddu player Amadou Athiel Gueye.
These two Senegalese musicians symbolize, by reclaiming their ancestral culture, the revival of a tradition, adding a modern touch without losing or denying their roots.
The songs performed by Abou Thiam stem from a militant approach. This, far from advocating a sterile return to their roots, aims to reassert the value of the development ideal of incorporating the core values of an entire people and modern technology, without which improvement of life conditions is not possible.
Amadou and his accomplice in this adventure create new tracks, seamlessly blending melodies of yesterday and accents of today. Amadou's mastery of hoddu, which seems an extension of himself, is a guarantee of quality music that all listening will enjoy.
