Others have sang this song before Ray Price, Bob Wills and His Texas Playboys come to mind, but to me, this will only ever be a Ray Price song, it never sounds right from anyone else.

Ray Price is such a national treasure, although an oft overlooked one I feel. He should always be mentioned in the same breath with legends like Haggard, Jones, and Cash.

yes.... justin25taylor thanks....... I researched the steel guitar forum and found out his name...he just plays the best western swing I've ever heard......his trio on you tube{bubbles in my beer} he just keeps composing unbelievable runs in his head and puts them dead on ,on his pedal steel
