  • This is beautiful! And the player so young! This moving piece is great, as everything written by C. Franck. By the way, what's this thing about the rubato mentioned by keraulophone? Rubato should be used freely! If you don't feel like it, just don't do it!

  • Thank you very much! Maybe keraulophone tried to refer to way that Xaver Varnus interpreted the piece at St. Sulpice. But to me the fundamental of tempo making cannot be sacrificed for the freedom of rubato.

  • Not bad! But why are you playing the Variation faster than the Prelude?

  • Because it is variation and I don't want to be rigid to the tempo and it should be variant to the main theme and it is my style. The music did not indicate that I have to play the same tempo.

It is just matter of taste; not right or wrong.

  • Sir,

Though it is obvious that you are of good intention and meaning, I really must disagree with you. Your comment about 'psyche' seems very condescending; I am a 'young person', about the age of this performer, and I have a great fiery passion for music.

My conviction is one of love and 'experience', or so-called wisdom, which you proclaim is only a thing that older people are in possession of. I protest in good nature, and ask that you have more faith in the human soul - at any age!

  • Very very nice pieces, and wellplay, and very nice to listened too, Félicitations Jack

  • @bigmandrel : Maybe you're right in a way, but there is a tendency in the West to "think" in groups." I have met many from Asia, and they tend to do as we used to in the West; adapt the best from all cultures. We have now in our "culture" this "self hatred," and it shows in our arts. I have the greatest respect for Asians, because they try harder. You don't like my opinions? Well, open your eyes. the West is in full "destruct" mode, due to this stupid self guilt mental illness. Read the news.

  • @soco13466 I appreciate the spirit and humanity of what you have written...but it is total rubbish that makes no sense whatsoever. People speak for themselves as individuals not as some kind of unified culture or "race" that is operated by some master brain. And music is but one small component of any given named civilization and certainly does not encapsulate such a pointed viewpoint as you have posited.

  • very enjoyable.
