@westsan Or 3Com. The problem with Cisco is that they continue to keep their prices very high. Two things give Cisco this advantage: Cisco IOS and the academy graduates which keep this OS as a standard. This OS is very successful. I didn't know about that for the service contact...I think there are 2 cases, the one is to troubleshoot network configuration, this is not an issue, because there are so many CCNA / CCNP students who can help you. The other case would be a hardware problem in which
partly right personly love cisco products except the wireless phones man do they suck... heavy costly ugly you have to have wireless concentrator a bunch of wireless because of the dark spots go buy a siemens ip phone costs 100 bucks its has it own antenna and covers 300 meters and the battery last 3 days talking!!!
He says that knowing quite well that Cisco is pretty much the only vendor that can provide the full gamut of services and equipment.
Problem is Cisco demands a support contract and even though I have brand new router that I bought from a distributor I cannot get service/support for it from Cisco because I don't have a service contract. :<
@westsan you will need the service. I imagine that the service prices are also as high, as well as the changing parts :-(
