To those wondering, I'm above level 1000 in WSR, and it still lets me flail like that with non-stop success.

This isn't to say Wii Sports is awful. It's just that you have limited control over the direction of the ball, and it makes the game too casual.

For Sports Champions, the first tier (Bronze cup) has heavy assists. As you advance to the second tier, (which is what I'm on in this video) assists disappear. Third and fourth tiers feel even more challenging.

I've heard "a couple" people complain that this has already been done on the Wii. Hah! I've sweated more using Move for 15 minutes than I have all my Wii hours combined. Wii's nice for casual motion/party gaming, but Sports Champions will make your entire body sore.

I've also heard people say I could buy the real thing if it's all that important. Unfortunately, a $300 table tennis table is going to be sitting dormant and taking up far too much space in my house than a $50 Move remote. Also, videogames don't need a real life opponent, nor are they limited to a single purpose.

  • @MuchRockness A fair comparission is to compare the same game. The Wii sports table tennis is fun but it over-simplistic and there is no big use of wii motion plus there. Its a game with casual look-style, casual gameplay, and casual everything. If somebody is looking for a technical comparission between Motion Plus and Move this is not the way.

  • @DarkBit666 The WM+ couldn't do the controls found in Sports Champions if Nintendo tried. There is no means for accurate positional tracking in the Wiimote or Motion Plus- only pointing and angle tracking. It can track 3D movement but it can't keep up well enough to map out a virtual 3D play area, therefore that data has limited uses.

  • stop trying to make the wii look bad

  • @salehsbeiti Many thought Wii Motion Plus was the answer to all the cries for realistic motion gaming. This is just some evidence that what people wanted all along with PS Move. Hopefully next gen they can make the controller a standard pack-in with the console so more games can be confidently developed for it.

  • @MuchRockness its funny how you show yourself when u r using the wiimote BUT you DID NOT show yourself with the move! LOL

  • @mikallink Why is it funny? I have to move my entire body to get to where the ball is coming. I couldn't film my hand and the TV. The Move is doing the exact same thing as the on-screen paddle. P.S. Best Buy has a demo but they only let you play easier difficulties which have assists that subtly adjust your paddle and keep the ball from going out of bounds, so they remove the things that appeal to the more skilled players, which is stupid of them.

  • @PSMovesux How about I just block the heat every time he comes back? Move stomping the Wii's ass in terms of authentic motion tracking. You wanna make a video professing the commercial success of the Wii over the PS Move? Be my guest. You're telling me I'M the advertising lackey for merely sharing observations any tom dick or harry could make, and yet YOU'RE the one who's bragging about sales as if quarterly profits reports somehow matter to us gamers.

    Bitter, fanboy hypocrites :(

  • Nice CRT. Is that a GDM-FW900?

  • I own all three systems (check my profile) and my sis got PS Move two weeks ago. I tried it out yesterday and Ping Pong was AWESOME! I'm getting a 250GB 360/Kinect combo today (been wanting to replace my old one for a while) and I was gonna go ahead and grab Wii Sports Resort, too since I'm hooked on Ping Pong, now......now I'm not so sure. Wish I didn't see this video!!
