  • I wopnder why you were initialy unable to call for help...embarassment? maybe pride? sometimes asking for help is really hard..I know...being a stubborn man and all....afterall I was raised to be self sufficient...and asking for help was actually taught to me... to be a sign of weakness or laziness as a child...of course this way of thinking was taught to me by a raving lunatic of a man....my sepfather...

  • actually, I think the deep reason, is that I never get it when I ask for it. So I don't anymore.

    But the reason for this particular situation - - I don't really know. . . .

  • just plain ornryness is my guess, but only because i can see myself get myself in to the same sort of situation very easily!

  • guess I'm not the only one . . .

  • "The whole secret of existence is to have no fear. Never fear what will become of you, depend on no one. Only the moment you reject all help are you freed." Buddha quotes

BUT, isn't it nice to know there are those out there that will help, that is the lesson;)

  • Hello, it is very simbolic: you were on the roof, and you couldn´t to call "help". Well, looks like somebody that doesn´t know who can understand his/her pain...

But, I asume that I imagine it.

  • Excellent story! Thank you for sharing. : )

PS Reminded me of the time I got stuck in the bathroom where I lived. The door swelled shut. :P

  • Great story. Glad to see doing the work that needs to be done does not stop. Even at your young 78 years. And it's good to have neighbors with such good hearing.

  • This is both educational and encouraging. It is good when our independent spirit stretches to need as well as be needed. It is a flexible shift adjusting to changes and finding balance. ... Love your musical S.O.S. ... LOL :O)

  • hel... good for ya.
