Dude I know exactly how you feel as a former member I can tell you that it is very difficult to deal with. If you want your kid to never feel normal or accepted you shouldn't follow any organized religion. God is a spiritual bond not a religion. I have never be able to fully express myself to anyone for I all ways feared that they would disown me. I had to lie to my parents everyday for this fear and still can not integrate my friends and family.

Excellent video, I'm an exJw and today,at my job, we had a Christmas party 12/20/11,I was asked to bring cookies for this event last week and I didn't even have to think twice before saying yes! Last year when I was still a jw that would have been a definate no! To me it just a social gathering of fellow work mates.

I grew up as a JW and I am 100% OKAY and I have a good job and a happy life...I guess you make of life what you are given. Better luck in your new life.

Right there with you brother. Best move I ever made as well was leaving even though I lost my ENTIRE family (2 sisters, a brother, mum and dad and my siblings extended family) I am thankful for leaving because I can finally LIVE. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
