no, both have forged aluminum internals... and i'd choose the f22 because of the added displacement. 2.2>2.0 ... more torque, more power, earlier spool...

LoL also both engines have forged fiber reinforced engines pistons,rods, etc which means they can handle boost very easily.

I have an 2001 supercharged s2000 and all tho the ap2 has 10 more torque I love my 9250 redline the engine screams and is built to do that!

for the guy a few posts below me...f20 and f22c are built the same the f20 came with the s2000 years 99 ( japan only ) through 03 which is ap1 model it can rev to 9250 rpm...the

f22c came in 04 and up which is refered to as ap2 has the same stock flywheel horsepower 240 hp but has 10 more pounds of torque due to the slight stroking they gave the motor in 04 this also lowered the redline to 8250 I believe..ap2 vs ap1 a close race with the edge slightly to ap2
