Proof That Women Drive Fast: Saturn Astra Live Review

http://live.pirillo.com/ - My wife and I were invited to take a Saturn Astra out for a test drive. This car is not yet available in the United States - or, at least, not at the time of this live recording. The car handles very nicely, according to Ponzi. We took it around GM's super private test track in Dudenhofen, Germany.

40,000 kilometers are clocked every day on this track - and now the Pirillos have left their tire marks on there as well. Ponzi completes the perfect circle every couple of minutes, as the road is 5km around and she's traveling at a speed of 200kmph (~128mph). She did take the higher lane at one point, which is steeped at 37 degrees - but you can only get in that lane if you're traveling over 200kmph.

Hi,

Cool, I was driving in the same round track with Opel Sport versions from 2007 - Astra, Vectra, Zafira, Meriva clocking 255 km/hr. We had speed limitations in the track due to other test cars, otherwise we could have speeded more... It was a fantastic experience in my life.. Love to be there again :-)

@Phillthy59 I think you meant "Opel has too many names..." because Vauxhall - just like Saturn, Holden etc. - is also another substitute name for the original German car (the name used in the UK).

Driving on a large round circuit, no breaking, no change in gas, no stick shift changes and the wheel in the same angle the whole time and that gives people here the idea that women can drive? You all must be Americans...sigh

@solomonpilot767 I also witnessed someone almost causing a near accident. This man almost pulled out of burger king in front of a semi and come to find out, he was on his cell. I was thinking. does this fool want to die! buy you a blue tooth if your going to talk on the phone. Talking on the cell while driving in this country is illegal anyway. On this talk show there was a woman shaving her legs while driving. now that is Ridiculous! Her friend wouldn't ride with.I wouldn't either

@solomonpilot767 it makes me mad that women who drive like that make the rest of us who drive safe look bad. Where I'm from and equal number of men and women are jerks. Me an my mom were in a hit and run accident three weeks ago and no one was hurt. we only got a cracked rim from when the car hit the pavement rail on the highway. This fool on his cell phone did not signal and he veered into our lane and almost side swiped us, we were in an suv and we did a figure 8 across the highway.

@dickforatounge I agree. Me an my mom were in a hit and run accident three weeks ago and no one was hurt. we only got a cracked rim from when the car hit the pavement rail on the highway. This fool on his cell phone did not signal and he veered into are lane and almost side swiped us, we were in an SUV and we did a figure 8 across the highway. My mom kept good control of the car. She said she was not going to let go of that wheel. she knew how to handle the situation do to driving for years.

@Being a woman I agree with you that driving fast does not make you a good driver.Over here in America I have seen an equal number of men and women who drive lack crap based on my experiences. There are women on the road who make the rest of us women who actually can drive look bad and it sucks, because i am a safe driver .I've witness this man almost causing an accident because he was on a cell phone. He almost pulled out in front of a semi. Where I live people on the road have no consideration
