  • um Scoobys dont get stuck in mud!! he he =)

    Did u watch the video?

I am right! It was stepping out the rear just like a RWD car

    Awesome for Donuts too ;-)

  • Dumb question but whats DCCD?

  • Driver Center Controll Diferential.

It allows you to overide the AWD to put 90% of the power to the Rear wheels

so it behaves like a RWD car.

  • Actually.. the max it allows its 35 front/65 rear.. Do some reading about your own car..

  • No thats on the Hawk eye STi.

The version i'm in is the 2005 Ver 8 Sti

it can split up to 20/ 80rear

  • haha done this in the rain before.

  • @cyberjays1 not sure if you noticed but 20/80 is still not 90 :)

  • @cyberjays1 is it the same for the wagons??

  • @cyberjays1 Actually it can never change the split at so "up to" is misleading, the split is always fixed, what your changing the duty cycle of the clutch pack or simply adjusting how hard the diff is trying to achieve that fixed split vs. how much its going to let the rear spin without forcing the front to spin with it.

The ability to change the split is a huge misnomer in the Subaru world because thats how Suby slanted the marketing of the DCCD diff.

  • dats just plaayn stoopid on my porrrt

  • haha, the passenger is way to serious

oi try to bloody control it :D

  • wrong, its actually...

Driver Controlled Center Differential, but close enough...

  • On 2005, you can change it to a max of 35/65, not 20/80. By default when the car is going straight, and it's in Auto mode, it's already set to 35/65. Read the Factory Service Manual for your car.

  • ummm not sure they changed that from 05 to 06 or 07... do you have proof?

and btw it stands for Driver Controlled Center Diff because the driver can control the center diff lol
