More interesting are the live versions of the Beatles doing this cover- real concert footage, now on Youtube. Thank Your Lucky Stars was mimed, hence the lack of microphones. Lennons vocal on this recording is just magic. At the time nobody mentioned how good the Beatles vocals were, because there was no benchmark by white artists to compare it to.In hindsight it's what made them so special ... apart from their own brilliant songs.
