The track "The Official Colourbox World Cup Theme" was originally intended as a baseball theme, and almost lived up to its name when it was up for consideration as the theme for BBC's World Cup Grandstand during the broadcast of the 1986 Soccer World Cup in Mexico.

I've got this on vinyl. Well, its in the attic in my mums house in Timperley. It was on a mix tape I used to play in Mum and Dads mini metro when I was 17. Shit times, shit times.

The reason this was not picked up for that years world cup is that it was submitted too late.... Apparently.. Has been used many times on the TV since... XRAYDELTAONE!!! Colourbox fans will know who I am

Dunno if you all agree but for me this is just the toughest and most sensuous piece of electronica ever. WHY wasn't it actually picked as World Cup Theme, how superb would that have been. New Order E For England, good though it was, sounds pretty damn feeble next to this. Anyone know what happened to Colourbox? I seem to remember they used to fight a lot, Oasis style.
