Is it? Regardless, I put my trust in them not simply because Blizzard has released Diablo II and the like, way back when.
I do because they've only ever disappointed me once - when they continued Warcraft with an MMO, but even then I'm in awe of the work they've done.
Suppose you were asked if you considered any developer studio to be masters at what they do.
I'd definitely think of Blizzard first.

don't be mistaken by the word Blizzard. The old team is all but gone.
-
@Banzay27 sorry boob, but there's no progress in new blizzard stuff.
-
it will never be the same like old days

Don't be overly nostalgic, folk. You have to be progressive and not stuck in the past; not all change is bad.
Obviously, the third iteration in the series couldn't be too alike the title released a decade earlier. If there's one studio I trust in to make games just right, it's Blizzard.
And I liked the cinematic trailer much, just as I enjoy this one.

@korneyez Yeah, the voice acting in the D3 cinematic teaser was pretty lackluster. The render of Diablo, the army sequences, all looks good though. WoW is a big part of the fan base now but many a Diablo fan are hoping for that dark atmosphere to come back. The lost talent from Blizzard North also played a big role. Regardless I'll see you on Battle.net when it comes out!

@korneyez It's because a lot of wow people are running the show there, thats why we got rainbows when it was first released
:(

@korneyez The guys who first came up with the idea of Diablo 2 and music composer for Diablo 2 aren't in Diablo 3 project. I don't know who's the lead director and music is composed by the man who did music for WOW.
-
I'm afraid korneyez is right. Lets just hope for the best.

i mean S2!
Their new trailers... especially the new Diablo III cinematic teaser (look it up), just don't do justice.
The girl talking doesn't have the gritty torture that this guy does, not to mention... she seems almost totally and completely unrelated. This is the hero from the first Diablo struggling to contain a demon inside of him, and he's obviously losing. What the hell happened to the third game in the series? It'll be fun, but it just feels like something got lost along the lines.

One of Blizzard's best... so atmospheric; the music, the imagery, the voice acting, everything is perfect. And it doesn't have that nerdy, hyper-cheesy, over-the-topness that crept into their cinematics around the time of LoD. Even their new stuff for Starcraft II and D3 is all flash and no substance. As this trailer shows, chills and thrills don't come from the quality or flashiness of the SFX, but from the intelligence and subtleness of the writing and direction.
