Washing Natural Hair: Updated Routine for Maintaining Natural Hair

Long Overdue!

So I can't really get by doing the same cleansing routine that I did when my hair was shorter, so I have to evolve with my hair! Here is the updated routine inspired by Kimmaytube, for how I wash and maintain my hair for the week (or I guess two weeks!)

It's a tedious process, but I only do it every couple of weeks, so it is definitely worth it!

Remember nothing great was ever achieved without sacrifice, and this is definitely a small one to make for healthy natural hair!

**If using Denman brush, be sure to modify it by removing every other row of plastic bristles, and brush SLOWLY against your hand. If you brush too fast and vigorously, you could rip your hair out and no one wants that to happen!

so you put conditioner in then wash it out then add shampoo then wash that out then add more conditioner?

I'm Italian, so my hair is not quite this curly. I can't find anyone else with hair like mine... but I'm going to assume this would be closer for me to watch then a straight haired video right?

omg i've FINALLY found my hair twin...well almost hair twin lol!! I'm on a 2-3 yr long-term transition and as my hair grows out longer and longer my newgrowth and texture looks EXACTLY like yours- same look,same shine..just everything! haha.
