How is this not a complete rip off of the Monome?

Just because a device has buttons on a grid doesn't mean it's ripping off the monome, lol. They were just the first guys to a really good idea. Monome is the most hardcore geeky device in this category. It's for the people who really know what they are doing. Therefore, not me :P

Wow, the elitism in most of these comments is depressing. Just because it's a beat machine doesn't mean you'd have to dismiss it. I mean, it's one of those products that'd used by Trent Reznor & Thom Yorke. Heck, it'd change how rock, pop & dance music would look like in 5 years time. I mean, this would be perfect for any indie, industrial or New Wave bands who wants to create their own electronic sounds. I can even see DJs using this next to a DJ set. Stop being a douche and just let it be.
