Aerobatic Helicopter Display @ Southern Model Airshow 2010 - Dennis Kenyon

http://www.123rc.net - Well folks, I went to our clubs airshow at the weekend and stayed over Fri/Sat night as I was working at the show, and was shooting video the entire weekend, and managed to get this fantastic HD footage of Dennis Kenyon, performing his aerobatic routine, right in front of me!

This was the Saturday routine, the weather was brilliant, and the performance was fantastic... Dennis is a fantastic pilot...

Also, just before Dennis started his performance, David Stephens arrived in his 7/8th scale mustang (Self built) and actually landed it on the strip in front of me, then parked up for people to go and see it while Dennis was performing his routine, and he then taxied back out for a take off right as Dennis was finishing his slot!

@leezaal Indeed he is.. The show organiser says Dennis has retired now, but has agreed to come back for next years show as the last one ever! I sure hope that does happen, its great to watch him fly, and I hope he has something up his sleeve for his last show ever this year @ hop farm..

@rokape77 - Dear Moron... The display had finished by that time, and the P51, he built it himself, that was totally intentional to have both aircraft in shot, at the same time, but clearly you dont know how to ask questions politely, or know anything about putting on a show..

Wow, what a pilot! I was at the show but not close when this was happening, did see the heli from over the other side of the site, it looked like a large rc heli from where we were at the time ;P

Gutted I didnt see this up close :(

@AndyInKent I was fortunate enough to be sitting right in front of him when he started, just a few feet in front of the RC Pilots flight line... It was incredible to see this guy @ 76yrs old doing this...

I dont suppose you had a vid camera with you at the show?

His flies his heli like an r/c model in this... wish I had the opportunity to go to my "local" airshow every year. Problem has been that I can't find someone to go with me because of work or other reasons. I have flown a flight pattern at the airshow nearest me in one of these 269/300's, and hope to do so again in the not-so-distant future. :)
