  • i always think 'uksi' in my head but its written like yksi xd

  • @Annntonnni Hehe, yeah, i've heard that Y is one of the most complicated letters for english speaking people to pronounce right. It always turns to u or uyi.. :-D Maybe i have to try to make a lesson about that too with some tips or something. Hmm...

  • I like kuusi best; sounds cute. Things get a bit trickier by the time we're up to kahdeksan and yhdeksän, but somehow I like the freakiness. But is there an explanation for why 8 ends in 'deksan' yet 9 ends in 'deksän'? Why the difference? I enjoyed your amusing start by the way - "We're gonna have some FUN, with the NUM-bers". That was even cuter than kuusi, so there's no need to apologize!

  • Kiitos, am trying to learn more than two langues, am a swede

  • @satinemariana Hahaha, yeah, I laughed the first time I heard that number XD

  • kaksi in my laguage means - how you doing? XD

  • @Annntonnni oh and also practice rolling letter "r" with your toungue :) like when ville valo says rrrrrromantic lol...... xox

  • @Annntonnni :D Your very welcome ;) I found it is easiest way for my to teach my sisters little boys..example in Finnish.. the letter "i" sounds like english letter "e" so it is very confusing. Best thing in Finnish language is always the letters will sound the same, there is not many different sounds for each as in english. Also each letter in every word is pronounced--you will get it!!! You have desire which is wonderful! Enjoy the alphabet sweetheart!

  • @inFinnish

Haha thanks:) I am from Belgium myself actually:) but I met the love of my life in that country, and I'm doing her family a favour by learning it :)

  • @MrsHolliValo

    I <3 suomi,

  • @Annntonnni If you memorize the Finnish alphabet first--and keep practicing it until you have it perfect in head..you will be able to read Finnish words easy. Good luck! Nice to see you wanting to learn! KIPPIS!
