Baten Kaitos Origins Speedrun - Segment 3

My third segment for my speedrun of Baten Kaitos Origins.

By dodging the guards you aren't supposed to be able to dodge at the end last segment, I'm one level underleveled. At such a low level, this means my health is around 40% lower than it should be. That is HUGE.

"Hideous Beast" sucks even on a normal file; he is one of a few first bosses in gaming that easily have the potential to kill you. He can do up to 170 damage in one combo (for reference, I have 150 health) and has the power to do 80 damage to both party members at once. It took me a lot of tries just to beat him, let alone fast.

Also yay, this is the last battle with random Guillo, and now I have 2-3 segments without battling. For the next fight I do I'll have Guillo and later in that same segment an AI controlled Milly.


If you are wondering about the save file and why I redid this, to put a long story short, I accidently saved over my save file. I really had no other choice but to redo this segment. Luckily, it is two seconds faster than before.
