@holockcreateinc You misunderstood what he said. He is saying that the mirror locks up prior to the shutter curtain being opened. This is NOT the same as the manual method with other cameras. The mirror is locked, then the shutter is opened. With other cameras the photographer must handle both steps individually.

this guy is crap, almost all camera manufacturers do make DSLR with mirror lock up.

He should know that every pentax DSLR has built-in shake reduction on the sensor. This is not unique to Sony, it's just not found in Canikon.

the only 3 things different (from a900), 3fps (vs 5fps), 98% viewfinder (vs 100%), and the a850 does NOT come with a remote (which can be purchased separately).

I guess you can say there's 4th... the a850 has a slightly different texture (body).

Everything else, it's the same as a900

i would say video n live view are nice-to-have.... i would rather pay more to get a D700 or a 5D2..
