Here I am enjoying my '67 Super Reverb for the first time in 2 months. It just arrived back from my amp tech, Tyler Grund. He pretty much recapped my amp with Sprauge ps caps among some other "Cesar Diaz" tweaks. As a hopeless tone junkie, I must say, I am very pleased with the results :)

  • I'm about to purchase a 67 super reverb. Can't wait man

  • @bluesmethod Yep the first thing I noticed without looking is that there is a Jensen in there. Very identifiable.

  • That sounds like a hell of a guitar. SRV like. Check out my slow blues in g if you like.

  • @slpplexi1969

    yep you're probably right

  • @ironweeds If you can't hear a JTM45 or a Super Reverb over your drummer then you need a new drummer.

  • @Ericclapton325 That was very rare for him to do so. His guitar tech said he usually would change the tone knob to make it sound more intense. You can hear that on Love Struck Baby. He never really used both of them at once all the time, he had the pedals set one for a high tone with a lot of treble and one with it leveled out in the center.

But yes, I'd assume he used it for songs like voodoo chile.

  • @milodaman2 He also chained multiple tubescreamers at once on certain occasions he probably did it on songs like voodoo child

  • @Ericclapton325 Contrary to popular belief, stevie didn't use a tube screamer all the time, and he didn't always use the TS808. He used a TS9, and TS10 on multiple occasions. But a tubescreamer does help

  • you need a ts808 for the srv stuff like he used

  • I have a metro jtm45 and its loud but my drummer drowns it out not being miced or anything just playing like that. Will a super be drowned do you think?
