Katie Couric discusses the latest in the battle over extending the Bush era tax cuts. Couric comments that while some politicians are ready to compromise, others are not.
Too bad the Dems can't think of taxes as being a profit to a monopoly. Likewise, it is too bad that Repubs wont view monopolies' non competitive, excessive profits as being a tax on society.
One thing is certain when partisan politics are at work, the rich that own companies with govt. contracts will come out the winners, no matter who "wins" the debate.
with obama policies, party of no is a smart play. I guess you can be party of yes for destroying our economic future and yell yes we can but that is pretty stupid really.
@3dartistguy because he is far left and many said during the election. he was not a centrist or a moderate but far left and believer in economic redistribution. that is what he believes. he will be set for life with millions in speaking fees if he loses in 2012 and his wife is assured millions in revenue too so their family is set no matter how his policies turn out. he will be fine. if he loses, no problem for him. he will be richer than ever before.
@3dartistguy I do understand, being a business owner. What I find insulting is that Congress as well as he think we are stupid. There are so many parts of this man we know nothing about, he is driving the 'car' towards a cliff we will never return from yet he's gassing it instead of hitting the brakes. The other thing that I find amazing is that people voted for him when there was no substance, no experience no nothing.....I just pray and wait for November.
I don't know why this president insists on raising taxes when he must know its going to affect small business but he just wants to plow forward with his class warfare socalism...the Democrats are the real party of no when it comes to not raising taxes...
@3dartistguy Because, if you follow the teachings of 2 socialist extremist professors as he is doing, his intent is to turn the U.S.A. into a government owned and run country. No more capitolism, no more making more than the other guy buy hard work and over time...they will take it and give it to the lazy, the under achiever, the illegal immigrant or the lifer on welfare. Remember, it's all about 'fairness' and 'evening the playing field'. What happened to hard work and achievement, or pride?
I wish the president would change his position on taxing what he calls :the wealthy" because raising taxes will affect small business and that will hurt the economy;. WHy doesn't he listen?
come on people - tax cuts are mandatory to get the economy going - VOTE REPUBLICAN or continue to enjoy the shitty economy
