Colin was most associated with L555BAT( even though Ari Vatanen drove that reg first.) after he'd won the Championship the previous year he carried this reg(N1WRC) for 96.you often find teams/manufacturers have these particular letters/numbers to tie in with the teams name,etc.
i.e.
FMC for Ford Motor Company
MRE for Mitsubishi Ralliart Europe
BAT for British American Tobacco(555)
