Ortega had great plans to allow for a Soviet Airstrip in Nicaragua for the only purpose of causing great harm to America - Canada and any free land that separated Nicaragua to the north. This was public knowledge. Was it not right to aid the resistance of an illegal occupation that had every intentions to harm the Nicaraguan people and the U.S..?
