Animation about the North Pennines landscape and its people by Ben Brownson, Matthew Greggs, Mark Henry, James Leslie, Daniel Parmley and Bob Walker as part of Museums Live! Animation was created in response to a new composition written by Andy Jackson and performed by Stanhope Silver Band and world renowned 17th Century brass ensemble, His Majesty's Sagbutts & Cornetts.

The new composition was premiered at Wolsingham Parish Church as part of Stanhope Silver Band's Fifth Festival of Brass in October. The animation was originally mixed live at this concert. This is the first time a living composer has written a piece of music for HMS&C and the first time a live video mix accompanied their work.

The project had a very short turnaround especially for Andy and SSB who had to get the music written, arranged and rehearsed in weeks, so big up to all involved.

Thanks to Phil Ogg for recording the performance.

Commissioned by the North Pennines AONB Partnership as part of the Living North Pennines project. Funded by Heritage Lottery Fund and supported by Museums Live! through ONE North East.
