  • Very nice cover. I loved your breakdown of the solo strum. Is there any chance you could breakdown the intro part too? Like up to the first opening motif part. That would be great.

  • Thanks!

Uhh sure I guess I could try breakdown the intro.

I'll try record a tutorial and get a tab written out by the end of this weekend, and yeah :)

I'll announce it up on the forums once I finish it ;)

  • Nice ukulele...what kind is it? im guessing by the sound and the look..i'd say... a uh.... tenor...Ovation

  • Haha good ear!

Yeah it's a Tenor Mahogany Ovation Ukulele.

    It's a great buy, only $350!

The only downfall is that it's real quiet when it's not plugged in :/

  • hahaha i know how you feel i have an ovation but its only a soprano... hahaha i also have a long neck concert which i mostly play on..the long neck i have is mahgony too i love it =]

  • Ha yeah xP

I have a Tenor Kamaka, but it doesn't have a pickup installed in it :/

So I use the Kamaka for practice or jammin' and what not, but I stick to the Ovation for the actual performances xP

  • an awesome cover! How long did it take you to learn? ive got the tabs and im having trouble on some parts.

    Keep up the tutorials.

    Sam

  • Well, next time you're in Hawaii, you can get it factory installed by the Kamaka guys. I think it was $125 for passive, and $200 for active.

I was thinking about getting the applause tenor you mentioned, never got to play one in person though, but if it's quite when not plugged in, I guess I'll have to look to installing a pickup on a more expensive uke...that purchase will have to wait. Hehe.

  • Wow! Sounds like Jake almost! Great sound! I'm about to get me a tenor ovation uke!

  • Oh nice iv been wanting a Kamaka or maybe a Kala Blue/Red Tenor... i only have a Lanikai Saprano and a Ovation like i said + my fav. Concert.... so im wanting to get a Kamaka or Kala Tenor
