You might be wondering if your computer could benefit from a RAM upgrade. Here are a few symptoms to consider:

* Your computer experiences slow or sub-par performance.
* Responses to commands are delayed.
* Programs are slow to open
* Low memory/Out of Memory system messages
* Display problems or web pages unable to fully load
* Files stall or cannot open
* Computer fails to operate at all, in some cases

A memory upgrade from Crucial can help Use our System Scanner or Memory Adviser tool to find a compatible upgrade that works for you.

  • Look how small the start menu was.

  • They should be a little more honest and make the unwary user aware of other things that could cause the same problems, like having a corrupted registry or badly fragmented drive. Also it would help to include some figures for minimum memory requirements. My own personal recommendations are 2GB for WinXP, 3GB for Vista/7 (32 bit) and 4GB for Vista/7 (64 bit), for basic use with some multitasking and casual gaming.
