what if you have rim tape on the rim? do you still have to do all this non-sense?

@vic0mark asetone and rubbing. don't use sand paper, if u must, use a low grit. you can leave some as long as its equal throughout.

At the point where they say "clean off residual glue from braking surfaces" what would they/you be using? What gets that stuff off? Thanks in advance for the info.

@mikeylee2001 if its a new tire you should put a coat of glue on it but if it has been used before there is no point.

So only two coats of glue on the rims and none on the tire?
