My best guess is that it was removed in some construction... many buildings and exhibits were changed over the years. There were sea turtles where shipwreck reef is now, from what I remember. Also, a water fountain at the entrance, I have a photo of it.
I so remember this! Thank you so much for sharing! It was so much fun, but I kept getting soaking wet. I was such a little tyke back then... but I remember it. I even remember when the killer whales were in the dolphin stadium.
Wow, those tanks are probably now used as medical pools right? After all, they have another dolphin petting pool that is similar to their natural habitat.
