@alcs00 They are supposed to go home at 8 weeks, one week early probably wont hurt. Any earlier wouldnt be good, im not an expert but from my experience puppies that are taken away from their moms early tend to have behavier problems. But like i said 1 week probably wont hurt.

I've had a problem with every dog I've ever had. When I say "sit" they sit. When I say "down" they lie down. If they are already laying down and I say "sit" they don't move. It's like they know how to go from standing to sitting and they know how to go from sitting to laying but don't know how to from laying to sitting. Any tips for teaching them how to do that?

@phonecard01 Hey I'm not Eric, but what I would do is slowly move the treat towards his chest/belly as you put it down to encourage him to bend.

Eric, loved the video, but wondered if that trick is recommended for my beagle-dachshund mix. She's very long, as you can probably see by the video, and I wonder about injury of her back. Just wondered what you think. She's very quick and very active. Thanks! JoAnne

@sparky21493 Thanks for your question. I've taught this trick to Dachshunds and they were fine but, if you think it may cause problems I would check with your vet. Good luck!

Great video eric, how many treats is recomended per day to use on a dog at a maximum?

@Morongotongo123 All depends on the size of the dog. If I am doing a lot of training I'll cut back on breakfast or dinner.
