After seeing the exhibit "Running the Numbers" at the Museum of Science my daughter was horrified at how much waste there is. She was especially upset to learn how much plastic is dumped in the world's oceans every hour. So she came up with ways to make less trash and created a presentation. She'll be presenting to her class next week and has put up a video of her practicing it on her website in hopes of reaching as many people as possible. "The more people that see it and do something to make less trash, the better for our planet! Please pass it on!"

  • this is soooo freakin cutez!!!!!

  • Great job for her! It's wonderful that she is already so aware of our environmental footprint. With public speaking skills and literacy at such a young age already, I can tell that one day she can make a great difference in ours and Mother Nature's future. :)

  • I cannot get enough of 0:11 it's so adorable! :D

  • Her voice is so cute :D

  • Great video! This is an important message. The exhibition Running the Numbers and the art shown on the video is by photographic artist Chris Jordan. This should be mentioned in the video description, and a link to the artist work would be nice too.

  • young lady you are doing good

  • Well done. A+

  • This is a very nice presentation, Anna! You will be pleased to know that a lot of us grown-ups are also worried about how much trash we create and how we're affecting our environment, so we're changing how we live.

I use a metal coffee thermos and make my own coffee to take to work every day. I pack my lunch in an old-fashioned lunch pail instead of using throwaway cups and bags. I also stopped buying bottled water in plastic bottles.

I also moved so I can walk to work... it saves fuel!

  • Way to go, Anna!! Thanks for all your work and commitment. You have already made a difference and I'm certain you will inspire lots more people to get involved saving our planet.
