@beldaranful The settlements are on land that was seized by Israel from Syria and Jordan during a war of defense. There was no Palestinian state or sovereign state in the territory at the time, and settlements have ceased after the Oslo Accords and foundation of the Palestinian Authority.

While the forced removal of the Arabs was wrong from a moral standpoint, it technically wasn't illegal at the time.

@beldaranful If you think that killing civilians alone makes a country a terrorist state, then any country that's ever been at war is a "terrorist state".

Israel doesn't invade Gaza just to kill civilians. They do it to neutralize a threat as a response to rocket attacks from Hamas (which ARE directed at civilians)

@beldaranful If you think that killing civilians alone makes a country a terrorist state, then any country that's ever been at war is a "terrorist state". The criterion for being a terrorist state goes down to their intent.

Hamas deliberately targets civilians with their attacks for the sole purpose of killing civilians, while Israel's civilian kills are usually collateral damage during attacks on Hamas targets (and as mentioned before, Hamas often uses hostages as human shields)
