He looks very proud of himself. XD Whenever we put one of the studs in the stalls afer a mare was in there they do this "Omg! There were girls in here! I smell girls!" :P

It's called the Fleshman response. ALL HORSES do it. It's a way of 'gathering' more of a scent up into the nostrils. Stallions do it for obvious reasons - identifying mares in season.

Wow, you couldn't be more wrong. It definitly is not a "spasm", stallions do it to further analyze the sent they are taking in.
Geldings and mares also do it when they smell something funny that they aren't sure about.
