  • Why are you not doing anything about Lake Las Vegas water waste and the casinos wasting water wit htheir fixtures and artificial lakes and falls and fountains? Huh? Why not? Why is the home owner the only one expected to bare the brunt? What say you?

  • We're not doing anything about it because this is a Nebraska produced program which is geared toward the homeowner.

  • Check out my new page. Reduce watering without sacrificing turf.

  • Alot of the water used in artificial lakes is recycled gray water that is treated onsite.

  • Very useful, thanks for posting. The drip irrigation system is excellent and should definately be used as much as possible.

I live in California and I completely discourage the use of grass when and where possible. Good alternatives would be mulch or a low crawling shrubs that are native to your region. I will soon be replacing the small strip of grass (with mulch) between our sidewalk and curb to save not only money on water but time for maintenance. I will post the video to give some ideas.
