Yes, in-DEED-y.
The show aired 31 years ago come March 26, and it would be 'da bomb' to see it on DVD. If you agree, raise your hand.

Wow, back when tv was good and stars were more than just tabloid fodder. There was actual talent involved. What a concept.

I remember seeing this. As a little kid though, the memory was very vague. I thought it was a dream I had, but glad to see it was real. I just remember Don Knotts and Andy Griffith, from the roster, because I was watching "Andy Griffth" re-runs. Later in the week, it showed Dick Van Dyke talking to the "Peanuts" gang. The opening had him in an animated house and Lucy walked in asking, "You called?" The ending was him standing on an animated cake, with the gang dancing around him.

@sapphiretaurus You said it. Happy New Year.

@richiguy CBS will be celebrating their 85th anniversary in 2013, and they will probably do a special then, with their current roster of "talent" (for lack of a better word) and their older alumni, but it won't be as memorable and meaningful as this one. They don't have that powerhouse of talent now that they did back then.

@maleficentdiva I know how you feel. All my favorite shows are from the '50s, '60s, and '70s.

Great way to Celebrate 50 years. Great stars with great talent.

The most recent loss of this bunch was Jackie Cooper.

I never liked when a woman wore mens tuxedo. Just A tuxedo Dinner Jacket & fedora that Judy Garland wore looked classy for her musical number, is different. Judy who wore that in one movie and a couple times had her own CBS series sunday nights at 9 pm during the 1963-64 season. Sally Struthers looked ridiculous in a full Tux. But look at the CBS alumni was Astounding!

Actually, many of these stars are alive and well. Those who are not live on in our memories and can be introduced to the younger folks thanks to syndication!
