  • i'm taking my second trip to China in September and will be taking the Z-19 train to Xian. I will want the Deluxe Super Sleeper as you had. How many days in advance did you purchase your tickets, and did you purchase at the rail station in Beijing ?

  • @toddmeixner:

We purchased our tickets from China Trip Advisor . com a few weeks before we left for our trip. The tickets were delivered to our hotel and we picked them up at the hotel front desk when we checked in. It did cost a little more to do it this way but it was worth it! We would have had a really hard time trying to figure it out at the rail station.

  • This is just the way I remember it about 20 years ago. It is good to see that some things have not changed much. I really miss these trains while traveling in Japan and other countries. What was the charge?

  • nice train
