Archie is a three week old kitten, in need of some serious care. He and his brother, Reginald, were neglected by their mother, and were dropped into our local vet clinic at 5:30pm on the eve of Good Friday. He is being looked after by our good friend and vet nurse, Sam.

As we had plans with Sam on Good Friday, she rang to make sure it was okay to bring the two kittens over to our place. They received tender loving care, including two-hourly bottle feeds, burping and toileting from Andrew, Danni, Myles, Mel and Sam (well, truth be told, Sam did all the toileting!).

Archie has suffered damage to his nervous system, and has sores on his mouth, paws, and when Sam first got him, had bad eyes and trouble swallowing. He'll need a lot of care over the next few weeks, and he'll hopefully improve.

They will have a better idea when he is weaned at 6 weeks whether or not he can be reasonably expected to lead a happy and comfortable life. He will need very loving and attentive owners to look after him, and will need to be rehomed with his ginger brother, Reginald.

He has such a sweet temperament, so we hope that he gets better, and that both brothers end up with a wonderful family!!!
