This was done for a client. It is of Her sons.
The Year of the Lords Favor
The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to captives and freedom to prisoners.
Isaiah 61:1 New American Standard Bible
Olive trees have been revered for thousands of years. The olive is one of the most important and symbolic plants mentioned in the Bible. Olive fruits provided the rich and poor alike with oil for cooking, lighting, cosmetics, and medicine; while olives pickled in brine were an important food throughout the year. Also its hard, figured timber was used for special furniture, panelling and statues (1 Kings 6:23,33), and its oil anointed prophets and kings, (Judges 9:8-9). It was, with grain and wine, the third great product of the Promised Land (Deuteronomy 7:13). One special thing an olive tree is used for is anointing. Anointing with oil is associated with the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in both the Old Testament and the New Testament of the Bible.

This particular olive tree is very special. It holds the present and future anointing on four young men. These young men are wonderful masterpieces created by the Master Creator himself. A special anointing rests on each one and together they make up an olive tree. This olive tree has the ability to anoint others in the present and in the future. Each of these young men has experienced dry times in his life but that has only made his roots grow deeper and stronger, preparing him for future callings by God. I believe these four young men are anointed and have an awesome strength about them that is going to provide multiple blessings on others for the rest of their lives, just like an olive tree. This is why I used the profiles of these strong young men for the trunk of this tree. If you look closely the trunk is shaped by their faces.

  • Thanks Man. I soaked them In the final sealer that is the final coat. It's called Liquitex gloss medium varnish. I let it dry and then did a second coat just to make sure it sealed. The stuff is tricky though. Not much room for error. It sets really quick and can't touch it when it starts to dry. It's UV resistant and cleans easily. Got some stuff coming that is a lot looser. Stuff done just for the sake of creating. Looking forward to it.
