They are both great, stop comparing things to the n'th degree... they both stir the spirit and move the soul.

Kris has written and recorded great songs. You can rest assured he was never sorry when Johnny recorded one of them. They were great friends and each benefitted from that friendship - as did we. God bless them both.

I'll get a lot of flack for this but i'll say it anyway...I honestly have no idea why Johnny Cash is so big...while Kris Kristofferson seems to be so unknown...it's criminal to me. Cash does nothing for me. His songs bore me, his voice bores me...Kris is a brilliant lyricist and songwriter.

RT to smoke117: You probably will get flack, but you're entitled to your opinions and your taste in music. I think KK came on the scene when true country music was in a downturn, and merging into pop. Hence the Highwaymen, and "Outlaw" performers that resisted this. JC had already built his reputation with fans of true country music.

@smoke117 you have ever right to your own opinion. Don't listen to anyone who gives you flack for it. I personally like them both. To each his own though as they say/ ;-) Not sure why it is Kris isn't as big as the other 3 though, I'd think he'd be just as popular, he's just as good as they are.

I love J.C. I love Kris too. he's my main man. I sorta agree with you, though as far as I know KK ain't unknown. me and me grandma kicked it to Kris for years
