Should have asked them what the 10th amendment means.

SO why do you call them southern occupiers?

Franklin goes on to explain:
Not only should politicians all be retired businessmen, but they shouldn't be paid a penny. Their desire to give back to society in service using their knowledge and experience is enough. Franklin goes on to say that if you actually paid politicians, not only would you get a few bad characters because they want power, but if you paid them on top of that, you'd end up with just the wrong type of people.
How prophetic was Franklin do you think?

And I wasn't slow in understanding, foreign policy and politics are EXTREMELY complex, and NOT for the young...
Teachers who preach that the young should get involved, as if they had any chance of understanding what's what, are screwing up young minds. Youth CAN grasp nuclear physics, but foreign policy and politics? Sorry... WAY too complex.
And no... I'm not joking... not one bit.
But tell any young person they can't grasp something.. forget it! Damn teachers!

Obama, in that video, explained he visited all of three states, implying there were 60 states.
I doubt one in five people could tell you how many people there are in the House of Representatives.
I will tell you something. Until I read the Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin, when I was 35 years old, I couldn't figure out for the life of me what this country was about. AFTER reading that, I had a crystal clear picture.
Politicians should ALL be RETIRED BUSINESSMEN!

@bobbyjwoodruff - I agree with you somewhat and that's why I posted the questions I'd really like to know. 99% of the American public wouldn't know how many there are in Congress. Even that answer is subjective if there is a seat open such as Gabby Giffords. However, the comment in the video that there were 50 in Congress, one for each state, was indeed telling. It was similar to Obama's comment that he's been to 57 states with a few on the way.

To prevent misunderstandings... I could have been slightly clearer.
If you reverse think what the names of the branches of the government are, and think... The Presidency is... hmmm.... the EXECUTIVE (he's seldom called the chief executive, much more often the President, Commander-in-Chief, POTUS)
or think...
Congress, the House of Representatives, the Senate... hmmmm... the LEGISLATIVE (they're seldom called legislators compared to other titles)
Etc.

Continuing with my brute honesty here.... I say MAYBE the judicial because if I asked you who makes up the judicial would you say judges or the Supreme COURT?
You have to THINK about it...
Okay... do you know all the Amendments? I couldn't tell ya, not even close.
Could I tell you if the U.S. Constitution works, why it brought prosperity to America, and that its responsible for turning half our planet into democracies? Yes.
I strongly feel God had a hand in it.

I don't belong to the Occupy Movement.... I'm a conservative, both social and fiscal.
I just think this particular video doesn't do a very good job of making a case, and the questions weren't thought out.
Not long ago I had a brain freeze trying to name the three branches of government, just for a minute... but had I been on camera... if you think about it... the names of the people IN those branches don't match the names OF the branches... except for maybe the Judicial..

@bobbyjwoodruff - I was proposing my questions to someone in the occupy movement. Do you belong to the occupy movement? As far as reserving my own opinions, I have voiced them already in this thread.
2 Senators from each State x 57 States = 114 Senators...just ask Obama!
