  • It's the water is wide not the water is deep

  • There's such longing and sadness in this version .. and beauty too ofc. Needless to say, I love it.

  • V1) the water is wide, i can't swim over, nor do i have, the wings to fly, build me a boat that will carry 2 and both shall row, my love and i, V2) a ship there is, that sails the sea, she's loaded deep, as deep can be but not so deep as the love i'm in and i know not, do i sink or i swim, when love is young and love is fine, it's like a gem when first it's new but love grows old and love grows cold and fades away like the morning due, repeat V1! this is best version, song stems from scotland.
