An AMAZING track 4 by the Toshiko Akiyoshi/Lew Tabackin Big Band, from their 1976 album "Insights".

"Minamata" is a jazz suite divided into 3 movements:
1) Peaceful Village
2) Prosperity & Consequence
3) Epilogue

Ms. Akiyoshi utilizes Japanese traditional music and combines it with a tight big band sound.

Personnel:
Trumpets- Bobby Shew, Mike Price, Richard Cooper, Jerry Hey

Trombones- Bill Reichenbach, Charlie Loper, Britt Woodman, Phil Teele

Reeds - Dick Spencer (alto), Gary Foster (alto), Lew Tabackin (Tenor, Flute), Tom Peterson (Tenor), Bill Perkins (baritone)

Drums - Peter Donald

Bass - Don Baldwin

Piano - Toshiko Akiyoshi

Voice - Michiru Mariano
