Seen here on January 10,2000 was FL9 2012 in New York Central colors heading out of Grand Central Terminal with FL9 2006 in the New Haven "McGuiness" scheme. The New York Central in 1965 was in fact testng two FL9's for a possible purchase that never happened. The 2012 and 2007 were painted in the New York Central scheme and it gives us and idea what the FL9's would look like if they were purchased by NYC. The 2012 was retired and now resides at the Danbury Railroad Museum.
