This is my EVGA SR-2 rig playing Dead Space 2 on my Nvidia Surround setup. This is a quick and dirty clip that I've posted that will be followed up by an extended clip. I had some difficulty getting the game to work on my SR-2 system but I was able to resolve them.

System Specs:
Monitors: Three Dell 3008wfp each at 2560x1600
Power: Silvertone 1500w
Main Board: EVGA SR-2 Intel 5520 Chipset
CPUs: Two Xeon X5650 @ 4.20 GHz
RAM: 24GB OCZ Reaper 1333 MHz DDR3
Video: Three EVGA GTX 580 cards
Storage: 100GB OCZ Vertex LE + Two 1.5 TB Seagate 7200 RPM drives

  • What kind of frames per second are you getting?

  • @deckr0m I have vsync turned on (in the nvidia control panel) so I stay right at 60 FPS. This game isn't as demanding as others. I have everything turned up to the max.

  • @claytonjones006 at 3-way SLI they most often runs 16x-8x-8x and yes it has absolute nothing to do with power consumption! :)

  • Thats what I do at night time shit myself to Dead Space

  • Absolutely awesomely insane :D

  • last time I checked 2560*3 = 7680 not 8060 wth?

  • @MrAben1995 I cannot recall if the cards are running at x16 or x8 for the lanes, but that does not decrease power consumption one bit. The cards are running at "full performance". If you don't believe me, please read HardOCP's reviews on top end video cards and PCI-e lanes.

  • @dapimppope

yeah but when the card are on sli they doesent work on x16 they work on x8 mode so they dont use so much power those cards should use wright now 1000w at gaming for soor..at idle i think probably about 600w. i hope i helped

  • It's.... beautiful

  • @fuge805 I have a dedicated 20 amp circut for this computer. It is NOT needed, but I like to have the headroom. Typically this computer pulls about 1100w fully loaded.

Most homes in the US are wired with 15 amp circuts. I believe that means the make is somewhere around 1300w-1500w but I am not the expert on this.
