This is a video that shows how to easily cut plexiglass ceiling panels using a stencil burner. I also describe how I replaced my old, yellowed ceiling tiles with faux stained glass tiles. It was a quick and less-costly fix to an old ceiling.

Thank you for this great tip! I tried it today with the basic Radio Shack pencil tip soldering iron I had lying around and it worked perfect!! I expected a terrible plastic smell but it was minimal. I also expected the plastic to burn but it merely melted. Easier, safer, more reliable, and faster than a knife. If you want to do more than cut a straight line this method would work nicely, either way, this is the way to go!!
