if u bring it to the apple store will they swap your ipod for a working one even if its not under warenty??

water damage is the cause it happened to me dont send it to apple go to craigslist or google and find a ipod repair shop or person and they will do it it happened to my 64gb i touch 3rd gen and its workin now only cost me 45 to 50 dollars good luck man

ok, so how you fix that, i had the same problem, is hold the top and home button, wait for the apple logo to show up, keep holding it, it will disappear, then wait for a bit the apple logo will appear again, after this happens let go of the two buttons before the black screen comes back. it will go into DFU mode eventually and iTunes will read it again, it does take some time for this to happen tho so just like everything else, patience is a virtue. :) hope it works!!!

i had the same problem with my iphone 3g. i searched all over the internet and FINALY found the answer, IREB. its a program that kicked my 3g right back on track. HOPE THIS HELPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Umm what you have to do when the iPod detects u have hardware fall it shit down some functions on the iPod in your case it seems like you need to replace ur LCD b/c as you can tell ur iPod is not bright
