A rat, hamster and a gerbil living together. No problems at all. They sleep curled up together and do not fight. They seem to like each other. The white one is a rat named Jose, the black one is a gerbil named Apollo, and the little one is a hamster named Hercules. Sorry about the audio this was taken on my phone.

  • In normal circumstances I would be against this, for obvious ethical reasons, but they seem to get on together just fine which is what matters. Though a little suprised the hamster hasn't killed the rat and gerbil as it got bigger and matured, they as solitary creatures and usualy hate company

What I will say though is that your cage is discustingly small for a rat, and for that, you should be ashamed of yourself. Rat cages should have levels and a much bigger surface area.

  • @mashedup1987 ill say this again...it is a rat cage designed for 7 rats...i took everything out so i could take this video without them hiding

  • THIS IS A STUPID IDEA!!!! Hamsters are not social animals!!!! Meaning they dont get along with other HAMSTERS! let alone other species. Rats form colonies with other RATS! Their natural instinct is to kill mice which out compete them. GERBILS are colony animals which means they need other GERBILS to remain happy and form a burrow in the wild. All of these animals are different species and will eventually kill each other in fear that there will not be food left. DO YOUR RESEARCH ON YOUR PETS!

  • @TheDeniedhopedrummer I did do research on my pets...I put them in the same cage just to see if they would fight when they grew up together from a very young age and it worked out. If they ever start to fight i wll take the Hamster out...which was my plan from the beginning if they started fighting... i have a hamster cage just in case

  • You disgust me. People like you should NOT be allowed to keep pets. You must be fucking crazy to do this type of shit. You worthless piece of shit, how would you like it if I locked you in a prison cell with two men who are physically bigger than you, that are gonna abuse you, mount you, butt-rape you, and physically harass you?????? That's what I thought you'd probably wish you were DEAD.

  • @BarryTheBread Ok first of all...fuck you...second of all they have been living together for over a year and a half and not so much as a little fight has happened....they sleep together and never fight... i have more than one cage just in case they did start fighting but it looks like that will never happen...and by the way people like you fucking disgust me...arragant little pricks who think they know something about animals so they go post rediculas comments on peoples videos

  • Haha, this is amazing. Most peeps probably already mentioned this, but normally they are aggressive, so I'm really impressed that they get along so well. Good Job. :)

  • @BarryTheBread gee you got issues

  • @freeagentsgirl619 Did you step on them?

  • wow... my gerbil almost killed my sisters hamster when we put them together

  • I agree thank you for uploading this video

  • All the keyboard warriors and self-serving pet police members need to get over themselves; this isn't a case of Syrian hamsters forced into a cage and are visibly hating it and nipping at each other to the death. None of the members here look even remotely aggravated, and it's not exactly groundbreaking news that when done correctly (and from a young age), rodents of different species can, in fact, form a bond and live together. It's always nice to see a successful case - thanks for the upload!

  • Very cute(:

  • wow, certainly they can live together, are they still together now? I did try a mouse with two russian hamsters in the bathtub, they got on fine, but only when i watch them, they live seperately, but it can be done. well done to you! I also have 3 other russian hamsters living with the 2 russian hamsters (those two were lower ranking hamsters, so less likely to injure the mouse) also a elderly Syrian hamster and three young gerbils, but I won't attempt to make them all live together!

  • I think its fine. They are getting along great... some people need to go outside and take a breather...
