Here is a little bit about the igs pgm motherboards which suffer from leaking batteries that cause corrosion on the traces on the motherboard. Once this happens the board will no longer play games. By replacing the battery with a battery tray and removable battery and repairing the broken traces, you can have your board back up and working in no time. Key points to keep in mind. Remove all acid on the board with either a wire brush, sand paper ect. Clean up all the points and double check traces are intact. Hope this helps.

  • Battery acid should be neutralized chemically stop it from eating the board any further. When this happens I usually pour some baking soda in a small cup of warm water, dip an old toothbrush in and use it to clean the area.
